Custom furniture and joinery is what makes an interior feel built for its owner rather than furnished from a catalogue. Dressing rooms that use every wall, cladding that hides doors and services, a media wall that holds the whole system: NoVi Designs & Finishing designs each piece in-house and delivers it with specialist manufacturing partners.

Joinery runs through our work at every scale: doors and joinery within our architectural finishing works for Mivida Gardens — 200 villas in New Cairo, custom joinery for the 400 m² Hassan Café in Riyadh, and residential joinery in private homes such as the Villette Residence in New Cairo. Every piece is checked under our ISO 9001:2015 quality system before handover.

02Joinery & Custom Furniture

Furniture design drawn with the architecture

Bespoke joinery only looks effortless when it is drawn with the room. Our designers set cladding joints to the ceiling lines, door heads to the joinery tops and shadow gaps to the skirting, and they coordinate sockets, LED profiles and air-conditioning grilles before a panel is cut. That is the difference between furniture that is installed in a space and furniture that belongs to it.

Every item is issued as a shop drawing with dimensions, materials, finishes and hardware, so our partners build exactly what was approved and our site team can check it against the drawing. See how joinery fits into interior design and finishing works.

Wood, veneer and lacquer finishes

  • Solid wood where it shows its value: doors, handrails, edges and statement pieces
  • Natural veneer on stable boards for large, flat surfaces that must not warp
  • Lacquer in matt or gloss for colour, and moisture-resistant boards in wet areas
  • Hinges, runners and handles sized for the weight and use of each door and drawer

How bespoke joinery is made

  1. Brief and site measure

We measure the rooms and list what each piece must hold, hide or display.

  2. Design and 3D

Elevations and 3D views of every wall, revised with you until the design is approved.

  3. Shop drawings and samples

Detailed drawings with sizes, materials and hardware, plus finish samples for sign-off.

  4. Manufacturing with partners

Our partners build to the approved drawings after a final measure of the finished walls.

  5. Installation and inspection

Installation, alignment and final adjustment, then an inspection with you before handover.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to what clients ask us before a site survey. Not covered here? Ask the team directly.

Ask the team

Do you have your own furniture factory?

No. We design every piece in-house and manufacture it with specialist partners. We issue the shop drawings, approve the samples, inspect the work and install it, so the responsibility stays with us.

Can you build a single dressing room or wardrobe?

Yes. Joinery can be commissioned on its own, from one dressing room to a full home, or as part of a wider interior or finishing project.

Is solid wood always better than veneer?

Not always. Solid wood is ideal for doors, edges and furniture, but large flat panels are more stable in veneer on engineered board. We specify each material where it performs best.

How do you control quality when partners manufacture?

Through approved shop drawings, signed-off samples and inspections at installation under our ISO 9001:2015 system. Anything that does not match the drawing is corrected before handover.

Can you match joinery already in my home?

Usually, yes. We sample the existing finish and profiles and match them as closely as the material allows, which is common in renovation projects.

Do you deliver joinery in Saudi Arabia?

Yes. Our Riyadh office designs joinery for villas, majlis spaces and cafés and delivers it with partners as part of fit-out and finishing projects in the Kingdom.
