La Vista Villa

The brief

La Vista Villa in Cairo is an 850 m² home, and NoVi's commission covers both its design and its finishing. The work spans the pool, the living areas, the staircase, the bedrooms and the bathrooms, and is developed in a style that brings modern and neo-classic influences together.

The challenge

A villa of this size is a sequence of very different spaces, from formal living rooms to private bedrooms and wet areas such as bathrooms and the pool. Combining modern and neo-classic language adds a further question: where classical detail leads and where modern restraint takes over, so that the house feels coherent rather than a collection of rooms in different styles.

Our approach

Design and finishing answer this together by treating the villa as one route through the house. The staircase, as the element that links the floors, can carry much of the character, while the living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms and pool each take a measured share of the same modern and neo-classic vocabulary in materials, proportion and light.

The aim is continuity: someone moving from the living areas up the staircase, into a bedroom or out to the pool should sense one design idea throughout the house, adapted to the use and scale of each space rather than simply repeated from room to room.
