Katameya Creek Town Residence is a 200 m² home in New Cairo. The commission joins two stages that are often split between different parties: NoVi's scope covers both the interior design and the fit-out of the residence, with the interior developed in a new-classic style.
New classic is a demanding style in a home of this size. Panelling, mouldings, cornices and symmetry give it its character, but in 200 m² they have to be proportioned carefully so that rooms feel composed rather than crowded. The style also depends on precision: joints, lines and the meeting of wall, ceiling and joinery are visible, so the quality of execution is read in every room.
Holding interior design and fit-out together keeps the drawings and the site in one conversation. Proportions, panel layouts and ceiling details are set in the design and carried into execution by the same team, so decisions about lighting, joinery lines and finishes do not get lost between a designer's intent and a contractor's interpretation.
For the homeowner, this approach means a single point of responsibility from the first concept drawings to the works on site, and a new-classic character that is treated as a question of craft and precision in every room as much as a question of style.
