Bronze & Linen Apartment
Two materials set the tone — the warmth of brushed bronze and the softness of natural linen — for a 220 m² apartment that feels tailored rather than decorated.

A concept for a 220 m² apartment in Sheikh Zayed.
The concept takes its name from the two materials that do most of the work. Brushed bronze appears only where a hand touches the home — door pulls, the frame of the entrance screen, lamp stems, the edge of a shelf — while linen covers what the body rests against: upholstered wall panels in the bedrooms, curtains, cushions and a headboard that runs the full width of the master suite.
The plan keeps the reception rooms together near the entrance, divided from the bedroom corridor by a bronze-framed screen of reeded glass that borrows light without giving away privacy. Walnut joinery ties the rooms together: a media wall in the living area, a dressing room lined in walnut and bronze, and a kitchen with fluted fronts that can be closed off after dinner.
Sheikh Zayed light is strong and dry, so windows are dressed in two layers of linen, sheer and lined, and floors are a warm honed limestone that stays cool underfoot. The palette keeps to a narrow range of sand, tobacco and champagne, allowing texture — the weave of linen, the grain of walnut, the soft sheen of bronze — rather than colour to give each room its character.
