Sky Majlis Penthouse
A Riyadh penthouse that lifts the formal majlis into the sky — guests are received against the skyline, while family life continues in a separate, private wing.

Design narrative
A concept for a 420 m² penthouse in a Riyadh residential tower, with a formal majlis.
A Saudi family home needs a clear line between guests and family, and a tower apartment rarely provides one. This concept places the formal majlis directly off the lift lobby, with its own guest cloakroom and a service door from the kitchen, so visitors are received, served and seen off without passing the private rooms. The majlis takes the corner of the floor plate and the widest panorama of the city.
Seating follows the traditional perimeter arrangement, low and continuous along three walls, so that conversation faces inward and the view opens behind the host. Walls are lined in walnut and upholstered panels for acoustic calm; a carved-plaster ceiling medallion and bronze wall lights give the room a formal centre without heavy ornament. Deep sheer curtains soften the desert glare by day.
Behind a pivoting walnut door, the family wing has its own living room, a table for everyday meals and bedrooms turned away from the guest side and the lift lobby. Materials continue from the majlis — travertine, walnut and champagne-toned bronze — but the scale drops and the textures soften, so the private rooms feel like a home rather than a reception suite.
